In-4º of lxxv-605 pages. Italian Art Nouveau binding, probably executed by the artist Ferdinando Ongania, from Venice. Dark blue chagrin leather with gilt tooling on both boards in a panel and, in the exact and central middle, the Arms of the King of Italy engraved and painted, with an eagle in the center and the collar of the Supreme Order of the Most Holy Annunciation with the motto FERT, acronym of Fortitudo Eius Rhodum Tenuit. Spine with Art Nouveau gilt tooling. Endpapers marbled in gold. Both boards bevelled. Two royal stamps attest to the private royal provenance of the work, which contains thousands of names of servicemen with each one’s decorations. Valuable for biographical and genealogical history. Cuir chagrin bleu foncé avec fers dorés sur les deux plats encadrés, et au centre exact et médian les Armes du Roi d’Italie gravées et peintes, avec un aigle au centre et le collier de la Suprême Ordre de la Très Sainte Annonciation avec la devise FERT, acronyme de Fortitudo Eius Rhodum Tenuit. Dos orné de fers Art nouveau dorés. Gardes marbrées à l’or. Les deux plats sont biseautés. Deux cachets royaux attestent la provenance royale privée de l’ouvrage, qui contient des milliers de noms de militaires avec les décorations de chacun. Précieux pour l’histoire biographique et généalogique. Il comporte une photographie du Roi d’Italie sur le feuillet de garde avant.
