Full high‑quality brown leather binding, gilt on both boards and signed by the German artist SCHOSS, Adolf. He had a bookbinding workshop in Berlin at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th. His imprint is at the foot of the lower board. All edges gilt and gauffered in gold. Endpapers of cream moiré silk. Label from the private library of the King of Italy pasted in. The decoration of the upper board was executed with a blind‑ and brown‑stamped plate.
