Published by Thomas Yoseloff, New York-London, 1959. Eight volumes (complete set). Eight volumes of "Ben-Yehuda Dictionary". An international edition that was published in the decade of the State of Israel and on the centenary of the birth of Ben-Yehuda.
A copy from a limited edition of 20 copies hand-bound in luxurious leather bindings with gilt embossing (Ben-Yehuda portrait and the caption: "The two things without which the Jews would not be what they are: the land and the tongue"). The copy before us is numbered 16 out of 20.
At the beginning of the first volume, an original page is pasted in Ben-Yehuda's handwriting, dealing with a specific word - from the preparation pages for printing the dictionary. 8 volumes, 25.5 cm. Very good condition.
