Colt Lightning .22cal Pump Action Rifle - This is a Colt Lightning .22 Caliber Pump-Action Rifle, serial number 26419, featuring a 23 ¼-inch octagonal barrel. The bore is in poor condition, showing signs of pitting, though the action operates smoothly, and the hammer and trigger function correctly. The original rifle sights are intact. The wooden stock is in fair condition, with expected wear from age and use, including scattered dings and scratches, one notable dent near the grip, and a small crack in the foreend that does not appear to go all the way through. The foreend has a slight wobble with about ¼ inch of play. The barrel shows heavy wear, including deep scratches and dings, and there is pitting present on both the barrel and receiver. The bottom of the receiver shows some separation, and the magazine tube has a crack near the receiver and is slightly loose. Most of the stock finish has worn away. While in fair overall condition, this rifle remains a desirable collectible example of Colt’s early repeating rimfires. Manufactured in 1897, this rifle is classified as an antique and does not require an FFL/4473 for transfer.
