Argentine M1891 Mauser Ludwig & Loewe 7.65x53mm Rifle - This is an Argentine Model 1891 Mauser Bolt-Action Rifle, chambered in 7.65x53mm Argentine, serial number F6381, manufactured by Ludwig & Loewe in 1893. This antique rifle features an approximately 18-inch barrel, with a bore in good condition, showing a mirror-like finish and strong rifling, though the muzzle exhibits some wear. The rifle retains about 80% of its original blued finish. The receiver is missing its top crest stamp, which appears to have been intentionally removed. The wood stock is worn, with the original finish missing, and displays multiple scratches and dents consistent with age. However, it shows several proof marks, as does the barrel—please see photographs for detailed visuals of these markings. The rifle is fitted with elevated rifle sights, a metal butt plate, and includes a leather sling. Mechanically, the rifle cycles properly with tight lockup, and is in good overall condition for its age. This firearm is classified as an antique, and therefore does not require an FFL/4473 for transfer.
