Bidspirit auction | A pair of bronze roosters

A pair of bronze roosters of Italian origin belonging to the Art Nouveau period - This period was very sensitive to the Animalier spirit in depicting farm animals in a variety of ways. The roosters are from the early 1900's and are made in bronze casting made in several parts which were then assembled by soldering, then chiseled and plated. This is a piece that vividly and truly shows the different poses of the roosters and the work of the craftsman who created them. They are in excellent condition as you can see in the photo gallery.
