Victorian Mahogany Cylinder Secretary Bookcase - A Victorian mahogany cylinder secretary bookcase of two-part construction, dating to the mid-19th century. The upper hutch features a simple molded cornice over two glazed doors with arched panels, opening to an interior with three shelves constructed of a lighter secondary wood. The lower section contains a cylinder roll-top that retracts to reveal an interior fitted with pigeonholes. Below the desk surface, the base is comprised of two inset paneled cupboard doors. The piece is fitted with turned wooden knobs. No maker marks or stamps are present. Height: 99 inches Width: 48 inches Depth: 22 inches.
