American Quartersawn Oak Five-Drawer Storage Cabinet in the Style of an Apothecary Chest - An early 20th-century American storage cabinet constructed from quartersawn oak with a dark-stained finish. The piece features an asymmetrical configuration of five drawers, consisting of two smaller drawers stacked on the left side and three tall, vertical drawers to the right. The drawer fronts exhibit prominent medullary rays characteristic of quartersawn oak. Each drawer is fitted with brass swan-neck bail pulls mounted on circular backplates, and the two left-hand drawers include keyhole escutcheons. The case design is simple and utilitarian. A small pink adhesive label bearing the number 0125 is present on the front. No maker's labels, stamps, or signatures are visible. H 36” x W 42” x D 18”.
