19th Century Mahogany and Flame Mahogany Veneer Linen Press - A 19th-century linen press of two-part construction featuring mahogany and flame mahogany veneers. The upper section consists of a double-door cupboard with book-matched, recessed flame mahogany panels. The doors open to reveal three interior slide-out shelves. The lower chest section contains two short drawers over two long graduated drawers. All drawers are fitted with turned wooden knobs and brass escutcheons. The piece is supported by simple bracket feet. The construction utilizes mahogany as the primary wood with flame mahogany veneers on the door panels and drawer fronts.
