Three Vintage Wood Framed Washboards including Maid-Rite and National Washboard Co Models - This collection consists of three vintage washboards featuring wooden frames and various rubbing surfaces. One board is branded Maid-Rite and was manufactured by the Columbus Washboard Co. in Columbus, Ohio, U.S.A. It features a dark corrugated metal rubbing surface and black graphic stenciling on the wooden header. The other two boards are manufactured by the National Washboard Co. with stenciled text indicating manufacturing locations in Chicago, Saginaw, and Memphis. These include a National No. 512 model and a No. 860 model, both of which are constructed with ribbed glass rubbing surfaces. The frames are made of wood with visible stenciled branding and model numbers.
