American Federal Style Painted and Stenciled Wood Settee - This wooden hall bench or settee is designed in the American Federal style, specifically in the style of Hitchcock furniture. The piece features a dark green painted frame and a solid wood plank seat with a natural finish. The high back is constructed with a wide, flat crest rail adorned with gold-toned stenciled floral decorations, supported by a series of ten turned spindles. The piece is elevated on four turned legs which are joined by a simple box stretcher for structural stability.
