A Collection of Mid-Century Hand Carved Monkey Pod Wood Serving Ware - A collection of hand-carved monkey pod wood serving pieces featuring a three-tiered revolving lazy susan stand and a salad service set. The tiered stand is surmounted by a carved pineapple finial and includes several removable leaf-shaped trays resting on the lower levels, which are embellished with carved tropical relief borders on their rims. The salad set consists of a large freeform-shaped bowl accompanied by a smaller circular bowl and two carved serving utensils. All pieces show a polished, warm-toned finish with visible natural wood grain. While the design is characteristic of mid-century tropical export ware, no maker marks or signatures are discernable.
