Dazey No. 40 Glass Butter Churn - This antique butter churn is manufactured by the Dazey Churn and Manufacturing Company of St. Louis, Missouri. The item consists of a square glass vessel and a top-mounted mechanical hand-crank assembly. The glass jar features embossed text reading DAZEY CHURN, NO. 40, PATENTED FEB 14 22, DAZEY CHURN and MFG CO, ST. LOUIS, MO., and MADE IN U.S.A. The mechanical component is constructed of cast metal with a gear-driven drive and a handle finished with a black knob. The metal frame is also marked with the DAZEY name. The churn is shown alongside a 16.9 oz (500 mL) plastic bottle for scale.
