Two Mid-Century American Ceramic Vessels Including California Pottery Planter - This lot consists of two mid-century ceramic vessels. The first item is a bulbous earthenware tilt-style pitcher finished in a uniform semi-glossy pale yellow glaze. The form features an integrated handle and a pinched spout with an ice lip, characteristic of mid-20th-century American commercial pottery. No maker marks are present on the pitcher. The second item is a spherical earthenware planter featuring a vertically ribbed or fluted pedestal base. It is finished in a matte mauve glaze with a contrasting white textured seafoam glaze applied around the rim. A gold-toned foil label on the side identifies the piece as Genuine California Pottery. The planter contains a small collection of vintage illustrated cards.
