Ansonia Monarch Victorian Oak Side Mirror Mantel Clock - This antique mantel clock is the Monarch model produced by the Ansonia Clock Company, dating to the late 19th century. The case is constructed of oak and features a side-mirror parlor style. The top is designed with an arched pediment, a fanned shell-motif crest, and a central gilt-metal mascaron depicting a woman's face. The shoulders are decorated with turned wooden finials and pendants. The central glass door is etched with floral and bird motifs, housing a mechanical spring-driven movement that strikes on a wire coil gong. The clock is flanked by two mirrored side panels and two gilt-finished metal cherub figurines on pedestals. The white circular dial features black Roman numerals, spade-style hands, and a small logo below the center arbor. The stepped base includes a central winged metal ornament.
