A Pair of Pressed Clear Glass Lustre Candlesticks with Spear Prisms - This lot consists of a pair of pressed and molded colorless glass candlesticks designed in the lustre style. Each candlestick features an ornate, tiered stem with multiple knobbed sections and a central portion molded with a stylized vertical leaf motif. The top bobeche or drip pan is designed with a scalloped edge containing six integral holes for hanging ornaments. Each candlestick is adorned with six faceted spear-shaped glass prisms, each suspended from an octagonal glass button by a metal wire. The circular feet are smooth and molded, showing no evidence of a pontil scar. The design and construction are consistent with mid-20th-century American elegant glass, resembling patterns produced by companies such as Indiana Glass. Height: Approximately 8.5 to 9 inches.
