Morimura Brothers Nippon Hand Painted Moriage Landscape Porcelain Vase - This porcelain cabinet vase was manufactured by the Morimura Brothers. The base features a green backstamp with the letter M inside a wreath, the words Hand Painted in script above, and NIPPON below. The vase is constructed with a multi-lobed, tapered body, a flared foot, and a wide, low-profile rim. The central decoration is a hand-painted landscape reserve showing a pastoral field with trees and hills. The surrounding surface is a pale yellow ground with vertical wavy lines and raised-gold moriage grapevine and leaf motifs. The rim and foot are accented with geometric floral patterns in pink and green enamels over a gilded ground. Dimensions: Approximately 12 to 14 inches tall.
