Victorian Mahogany Two-Piece Bookcase on Cupboard - This Victorian mahogany bookcase is a two-piece construction consisting of a glazed upper cabinet and a solid-door lower cupboard. The upper section features a projecting cornice with vertical fluted dentil molding above a single door. The door contains a large glass pane set within an inset arched frame and opens to an interior with three non-adjustable wooden shelves. The lower section is a rectangular cupboard base with two solid doors, each featuring an inset panel with rounded upper corners that echo the design of the upper section. The piece is constructed from mahogany with a polished finish and utilizes brass butt hinges and simple keyholes.
