William and Mary Style Oak Gate-Leg Drop-Leaf Dining Table with Parquetry Inlay - This 20th-century dining table is designed in the William and Mary revival style and constructed of oak. The rectangular top features decorative parquetry inlay, including a central rectangular motif and a double-stringing border. The table is flanked by two large semi-oval drop leaves that, when extended, create a large oval dining surface. The base consists of eight block and turned legs, with four stationary legs and four swinging gate-legs to support the leaves. The legs are joined by a system of straight stretchers. No maker's marks or labels are present on the visible portions of the piece. Height: 30 inches Width: 80 inches (fully extended) Depth: 40 inches.
