Karpen Hand Painted Spanish Revival Style Upholstered Hall Bench - A long hall bench in the Spanish Revival style, constructed from dark-finished hardwood with hand-painted polychrome decoration. The rectangular seat is upholstered in a red textured synthetic material, likely vinyl, which is secured to the frame with a continuous row of brass-toned upholstery tacks. The bench is supported by six square-section legs. The base features a decorative stretcher system consisting of a central turned spindle joined to the side legs by four curved wooden supports. The apron and legs are adorned with hand-painted folk art motifs, including yellow and orange scrolls on a green ground along the apron, and stylized floral and teardrop designs on the legs and corner spandrels. A white adhesive tag with the printed characters 0023 is present on the right side of the apron. Height: 18 inches, Width: 65 inches, Depth: 18 inches.
