Contemporary Chippendale Style Block Front Four Drawer Chest - A contemporary four drawer chest of drawers designed in the Newport Chippendale style with a block front facade. This piece is visually consistent with the Arden and Mateo series of decorative storage chests. The piece features a decorative red and black crackle lacquer finish that has been intentionally distressed to simulate age. The molded top follows the undulating contour of the drawer fronts. It is supported by a molded base and bracket feet. The chest is fitted with eight brass batwing style drawer pulls and four matching decorative escutcheons, all featuring an antiqued patina. No maker's marks, labels, or stamps are visible on the exterior surfaces. Internal drawer construction and secondary woods were not visible for inspection.
