Jacobean Revival Carved Oak Court Cupboard - This Jacobean Revival style court cupboard is of two-piece construction, crafted from oak with a dark-stained finish. The upper section features a recessed central cupboard door decorated with a carved arch motif and foliate details. The overhanging top is supported by two large, bulbous carved cup and cover turned columns, while the cornice displays a repeating gadrooned carved pattern. The lower section consists of two large cupboard doors, each featuring a deeply carved panel with stylized foliate and scrollwork designs. The vertical stiles between and flanking the doors feature repeating carved decorative patterns. The cabinet is fitted with decorative cast metal butterfly-style hinges and small metal ring pulls. A single key is present in the upper cupboard door. The back panels are constructed of a secondary wood or composite material, characteristic of early to mid-20th-century manufacture.
