Late 19th Century Renaissance Revival Carved Oak Mirrored Sideboard - This large oak sideboard is designed in the Renaissance Revival style, featuring elements common to late 19th-century cabinetry including French Henry II and Wilhelminian influences. The piece is constructed from oak with a medium brown finish. The upper gallery section is topped with a prominent architectural cornice featuring dentil molding. A central rectangular beveled mirror is flanked by two small cabinet doors, each decorated with deep relief carvings of foliate and floral motifs. Below these cabinets are two small cantilevered display shelves, and the entire upper section is supported by turned and carved columns. The base section features a flat top surface above two wide drawers. The lower portion of the base includes a central open shelf recess topped by two small drawers, flanked by two large cupboard doors. These doors and the central drawers are decorated with ornate carvings, including sunburst rosettes and stylized leaf patterns. The unit is fitted with elaborate cast metal swing-bail pulls on decorative backplates and matching keyhole escutcheons. The piece stands on bun feet.
