José Duro - FEL - José Duro, 1916. Published in 1916 by Livraria Editora Guimarães & C.ª (68, Rua do Mundo, 70, Lisbon), this celebrated and remarkable poetic work by José Duro is presented in its 2nd Edition. The copy, measuring 19 x 13 cm and with 111 pages, [i] stands out for its exceptional finish, boasting a binding in very good condition in black half-leather with a spine decorated with rich golden floral details, closed buttonholes and contrasting red leather labels. The covers feature triangles in coral-pink satin fabric finished with gold fillets, complemented by red silk endpapers with the embossed stamp of the prestigious ”Fersil - Porto” workshop. As a mark of provenance, the copy displays a handwritten ownership signature of a former collector (”Eduardo Pinheiro”) placed on the first three pages of the book block. This is a piece of great aesthetic and bibliographical appeal, ideal for collectors of Portuguese decadent and fin-de-siècle poetry.
