JOÃO BATISTA REYCEND - O Sagrado Concilio Ecumenico e Geral de Trento: Tomo I, nova Edição - JOÃO BATISTA REYCEND, 1864. Published in 1864 in Lisbon by Typographia Rollandiana, this volume corresponds to the first volume of the new Portuguese and Latin edition of the historic synod of the Catholic Church. The work is presented with the text in parallel columns or facing pages in both languages, totaling 415 pages, beginning with the famous Bull of Indication and Publication of the Sacred Council under the pontificate of Pope Paul III. The copy is bound in a solid and elegant full leather binding of the period, in good condition, with a spine decorated with gold fillets and floral motifs, as well as a dark leather label with the title engraved in gold. The text block is firm and well-structured, with very clean typographical preservation, constituting a significant piece for collectors of religious, theological and canon law works.
