Silva, this unusual second edition appeared only one year after the first, being printed in the same workshop and enriched with a new introduction by the author. Written by the publicist and historian Pedro Diniz (pseudonym of Joaquim Pedro Quintela), the work deals with a critical and historical analysis of religious orders and corporations in Portugal, their properties and the impact of their extinction on the country. It features an unusual contemporary full white leather binding (full sheepskin) with discreet details and titles on the spine. It has a total of 293 (7) pages, has a pocket format with dimensions of 14.5 x 10.5 cm and has trimmed text blocks, without the original paperback covers. The overall state of conservation is that of a good copy, showing itself to be firm, with solid binding and very well preserved text blocks.
