François Beaudouin - Les Bateaux du Douro: Étude des Origines - François Beaudouin, 1970. Published in 1970, in an esteemed regional monographic edition, by the Museum of Ethnography and History of the Porto District Council. Written by François Beaudouin, the work deals with the study of the origins, evolution, and typologies of the traditional boats that navigated the Douro River, containing several illustrations and technical diagrams. It features an unusual French-style binding with leather corners, displaying planes with large triangles in paper imitating red scales and a spine with a gilded title. It has a total of 90 pages, is in-8º format (approximately 24 x 16 cm), and the top of the pages is carmine (stained red). The binding is in good general condition, showing only a pressure mark at the top and normal signs of handling, while the text block is in very good condition, enhanced by the ex-libris of the renowned Porto bookseller Manuel Ferreira.
