Published in Lisbon by Empreza Litteraria e Typographica — Editora, this work brings together the celebrated and remarkable parliamentary speeches delivered by the illustrious statesman and orator António Cândido between 1880 and 1885, totaling 306 pages. The copy is bound in an elegant period brown half-leather binding with corners, displaying large triangles on the edges and marbled paper, as well as a spine decorated with fine gold fillets and blind-stamped tooling. The overall condition is very good, with a perfectly firm structure, the top of the pages stained red as was customary at the time, and the text block very clean, with the particularity of preserving several unopened pages (not completely separated from the original) and an ownership signature dated 1948 on the frontispiece.
