Handwritten glosses by Rabbeinu Akiva Eiger on the book Ba'alei HaNefesh, printed for the first time in this booklet, copied by Rabbi Baruch Ber Leibovitz; a letter from the Chafetz Chaim; Torah novellae by Rabbi Shimon Shkop, Rabbi Naftali Trop, Rabbi Avraham Joffen, Rabbi Elchanan Wasserman, and an essay from a manuscript by Rabbi Naftali Amsterdam.

Rabbi Elchonon Bunim Wasserman Hy”d (1875-1941), was the Rosh Yeshivah of Yeshivas Ohel Torah in Baranowitz. learned at the Telshe Yeshiva under R. Leizer Gordon and R. Shimon Shkop, and later became a leading talmid of both R. Chaim Soloveitchik and the Chofetz Chaim. As Rosh Yeshiva in Baranovitch, he was renowned for his clear and penetrating shiurim which attracted many students. His seforim, Kovetz Shiurim, Kovetz He’oros and Kovetz Ma’amarim became classics and are widely studied in Yeshivos. Additionally, he was very involved in communal matters and was one of the leaders of the Agudas Yisroel movement.
