Shnei Luchos Habris. The well-known sefer written by Rabbi Yeshayah HaLevi Horowitz, known as the Shelah, an abbreviation of the name of his sefer. Amsterdam, 1698. Lacking copy.
This 1698 Amsterdam edition is highly sought after, particularly in Chassidic circles. In addition to it’s beautiful and pleasing layout, it was printed in the year “NaChas” - 1698, allegedly the very year in which R. Israel Ba’al Shem Tov was born. Hence the importance amongst Chassidic Jews.
Pages: 422, 44, lacking the first 4 pages and the last 12 pages [index].
Size: 29 cm
Condition: Worn copy, About 20 pages in the middle have large text damage, many other pages have small tares to text, damaged and detached wood covers, no spine.
