Shlomo Eiger (1787-1852), was born in Lissa and studied under his great father R' Akiva Eiger. In 1831 he became Rav in Kalisch. In 1838, upon the passing of his father, R. Shlomo succeeded him as Rav of Posen. Renowned as tremendous Talmid Chochom, he was held in great esteem by his great father R.
