Long letter of Divrei Torah by Rabbi David Sperber Ab”d Brashov to Rabbi Meyer Weiss Ab”d Pressburg. At the end there is a Letter by Rabbi Yehoshua Segal Deutsch AB”D Katamon. Rabbi David Sperber, known as the ‘Gaon of Brashov ’ was a prominent Romanian rabbi and respondent who lived prior to the Holocaust. He learned Torah by Rabbi Meir Arik, and Chassidus by the Admor Rabbi Moshe Hager of Kossov. In later years, the Admor appointed him to edit his important sefer ”Leket Ani.” Rabbi David immigrated to Eretz Yisrael where he served as a member of the Moetzes Gedolei HaTorah until his passing in 1962. Rabbi Yehoshua Segal Deutsch (1910-1990), was a talmid of both R. Yosef Tzvi Dushinsky and R. Yoel Teitelbaum. He was a Chasid of R. Shayla of Kerestir and of R. Aaron of Belz. He was particularly close to R. Aaron of Belz and was one of the inner circle of distinguished Belzer Chassidim. He served as Rav in the Katamon neighborhood. In addition to being a renowned Talmid Chochom, he was also an outstanding orator famous for his Deroshos. 1 large, 2 sides.
