Handwritten Leaf on Kabalistic Matters - Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Shklov (Shkloŭ) A leaf handwritten by Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Shklov (Shkloŭ), a segment from a work on Kabalistic matters. Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Shklow (d. 1827), : Rav and Mekubal, Since 1796 was a loyal, beloved and close disciple of the Vilna Gaon, who taught him the depths of the Torah and he was his personal Meshamesh in his final years. Wrote a commentary on Sefer Mishlei based on lessons he heard from his Rav HaGra. Was the first disciple of HaGra who immigrated to Eretz Yisrael. Authored most important Kabbalistic works. Rabbi Menachem Mendel was the founder of the Ashkenazic community of Jerusalem. HaGra continued to appear to him in a dream in Eretz Yisrael and Divrei Torah he had delivered to him then were also integrated into his books. One leaf, written on both sides. Size : 31 cm.
