Classic: Chidushei Rabbeinu Chaim Halevi on the Rambam, by Rabbi Chaim Halevi Soloveitzchik Av Beit Din of Brisk. [1936]. First edition. The famed book by the Gaon Rabbi Chaim of Brisk, which was published approx. 18 years after his passing by his son the Griz. This book, to which the Gaon Rabbi Chaim dedicated his life, was referred to on his tombstone as a promise that the book will be published: ”Left a blessing in a large manuscript on the Rambam that shall be published”. For varied reasons, the printing of the book was delayed for so long. When the printing of the book finally began, some admirers of Rabbi Chaim's Torah could not wait for it to be completed. Therefore, at their request, every Kuntres that was printed was immediately sent to them. We know of three to whom the Kuntresim were sent immediately with their printing: Rabbi Chaim Ozer Grodzinsky, the Devar Avraham of Kovno and Rabbi Yechezkel Abramsky. Rabbi Chaim Halevi of Brisk : The father of the method of study of the Lithuanian yeshiva world. This book has been written over many years and has undergone many inquiries. The author's sons write in its foreword about their father's method of study, which spread all over the yeshiva world. They also write about the effort made by their father to write the Chidushim and how he refined them till his last day. To this day, the book is considered one of the fundamental books for learning and understanding. Stefansky Classics no 150.
