Ach Pri Tevuah, Munkacs, 1875-1876 – By Rebbe Tzvi Hirsch of Liska, First edition.  Copy of Rabbi Yisrael Weltz, Ab”d Budapest. R' Tzvi Hirsch of Liska (1798-1874) was a talmid of R. Tzvi Hirsch Heller (Tiv Gittin). He travelled to many great Tzadikim of his time including R. Meir of Premishlan, R. Yisroel of Ruzhin and R. Sholom of Belz (Sar Sholom). He was also particularly close to The Yismach Moshe and The Divrei Chaim. He served as Rav and Rebbe in Liska and was held in enormous esteem. See the approbation of The Divrei Chaim to sefer Ach Pri Tevuah where the Divrei Chaim writes about him unusually warm honorifics. Aside from his spiritual duties as Rebbe, he served as Av Beis Din and authored halachic responsa. Following the passing of the Yismach Moshe, thousands of Chassidim streamed to him for blessings and counsel, among them many Tzadikim. He was the Rebbe of R. Shaya ’la Kerestir who served as his Shamash and would sign his name and refer to himself as “Meshamesh B’Kodesh by the Tzaddik of Liska”. Rabbi Yisrael Weltz (1887-1973), studied under Rabbi Yosef Leib Sofer of Paks, Rabbi Shmuel Gottlieb of Papa and Rabbi Akiva Sofer of Pressburg. Son-in-law of Rabbi Chaim Efraim Balaiti of Tarnalia. Rabbi of Tinie (from 1913), where he established a Yeshiva. After WWI he served as Rabbi of the Pest district (of Budapest), where he also headed a Yeshiva, and became known as one of the leading rabbis in Hungary. During WWII he survived in hiding, and after the war, emigrated to Eretz Yisrael, where he was renowned as a leading halachic authority.
