Sha'arei Torah, R' Binyamin Wolf Low, Ujhely 1872, First edition. Bound with: Divrei Yirmiyahu, Volume 2, Munkatch 1876, First edition. Rabbi Binyamin Wolf Loewe  (1771-1841) was a son and student of R. Elazar Lowey (Shemen Rokeach). Renowned as a tremendous Talmid Chochom he served in various rabbinical positions most notably Verbau where in addition to his rabbinical duties he led a large Yeshiva and authored many important halachic works. Rabbi Yirmiyahu Loewe (1811-1874), Av Beis Din of Ujhely and author of 'Divrei Yirmiyah', was one of the great Hungarian sages of his generation. As a son of Rabbi Binyamin Wolf Loewe, author of 'Shaarei Torah', and grandson of the author of 'Shemen Rokach', he absorbed Torah and wisdom from his illustrious forebears. In 1844, he was appointed Av Beis Din of Magensdorf, and subsequently Av Beis Din of Verboy before succeeding his father as Rav and Av Beis Din of Ujhely in 1856. Rabbi Yirmiyahu Loewe endeavored greatly to improve the lot of Hungarian Jewry. His written legacy includes 'Divrei Yirmiyah' on the Rambam and Masechtos in Shas as well as several drashos.
