At the end of the sefer [before the index] the author writes: ”מודעה רבה, הן כבר כתבתי בתחילת הספר... .. לא נאמרה דרכי אלא להלכה ולא למעשה... לפרץ גדר המנהג, לכן מצאתי א”ע מחיוב.. .. לכל קורא בספרי לבל יסמכו להקל.... .. ובפרט אחרי כי אני בעצמי לא כתבתי רק להלכה ולכן מי שיעשה מעשה לסמוך עלי עתיד ליתן את הדין זולת אם המורה ישים עיונו והוא יסכים בהתירא אזי הוא יורה ולא אני, ובפרט שאסור לשום שו”ב להקל עפ”י דרכי זולת בהסכמת המורה... והשומע ישמע”. Rabbi Sholom Mordechai Ha’Cohen Schwadron (1835-1911), known as the MaHarSham, was a foremost halachic authority of his generation, responding to Halachic queries from across the world. His main works Shailos U’Teshuvos MaHarSham and Daas Torah are widely studied sources of Halocha. Additionally, he authored Mishpat Sholom on Chosen Mishpat and Techeiles Mordechai on the weekly Torah portions. Primarily a talmid of R. Yoel Ashkenazy, he served in various rabbinical positions most notably Berzhan, after which he is known. Unique item!!
