Sefer Divrei Emes, Halberstadt, 1861, Copy of Rabbi Yaakov Meir Biderman and his son Rabbi Yechezkel Biderman and his grandson, the Pnei Menachem of Gur. Library stamps of Rabbi Yaakov Meir Biderman, Av Beit Din of Vyshegrad and his son Rabbi Yechezkel Biderman and his grandson, the Pnei Menachem of Gur [“From the estate o the Pnei Menachem” which was stamped on the seforim of the 'Pnei Menachem' after his petirah]. Rabbi Yaakov Meir Biederman (1870–died in the Holocaust 1941 HY''D) was an outstanding scholar, son-in-law and editor of the seforim of the Rebbe of Gur, the Sfat Emet. He served as a dayan and member of the Rabbinical Council in Warsaw. Rabbi Yaakov Meir was among the earliest leaders in the Gur court and presided over the “Kupat R’ Meir Ba’al Hanes” fund in Poland. He and his brother-in-law, Rabbi Mendel of Pabianice, were involved in fostering peace and mediating between all parties in the administration of the Kollel, and their work indirectly affected other disputes between Hasidic courts in Poland: Gur and Alexander, Porisov, Amshinov, and other Hasidic groups. Rabbi Yaakov Meir was the father-in-law in the second marriage of his brother-in-law, the Rebbe of Gur, the Imrei Emes (from which marriage was born the Rebbe Pinchas Menachem, the Pnei Menachem). He was also father-in-law in the first marriage of the Rebbe, the Beit Yisrael. Thus, he was the son-in-law of the Sfat Emet, brother-in-law and father-in-law of the Imrei Emes, uncle and father-in-law of the Beit Yisrael, and great-grandfather of the Pnei Menachem.
