Silver medal „Für treue Dienste“, Directorate of the Disconto-Gesellschaft Berlin, 1881, David Hansemann - silver (990/–), signed by G. Janensch, G. Loos, and O. Schultz. Obverse: Bust of David Hansemann in a tailcoat facing left, inscription: ”GEB. 12 JULI 1790 DAVID HANSEMANN GEST. 4 AUGUST 1864” Reverse: Oak leaf wreath with the inscription ”FÜR TREUE DIENSTE” Inscription: ”DIREKTION DER DISCONTO GESELLSCHAFT IN BERLIN BEGRÜNDET 1851” Condition: extremely fine, in the original, elaborately designed presentation case with brass relief ”GEORG DREUSICKE 1907–1932.” The case shows age-related damage to the leather binding on the back near the hinge; the hinge itself is broken, and the lid is loose—a faithful testament to decades of storage.
