German East Africa Silver 1/2 Rupie 1891, Kaiser Wilhelm II Colonial Coin - Silver. An original silver half rupie coin of the German East Africa Company dated 1891. The obverse features the portrait of Kaiser Wilhelm II in uniform with helmet and eagle, facing left, surrounded by the inscription ”GUILELMUS II IMPERATOR”. The reverse shows the company's coat of arms with a striding lion in front of a palm tree, surrounded by the inscription ”DEUTSCH-OSTAFRIKANISCHE GESELLSCHAFT * 1/2 RUPIE * 1891”. Both sides feature a beaded rim, very fine, with small edge flaws, D. 24 mm, W. 5.8 g. Please inspect.
