Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross 1939 in 800 Silver, Replacement Procurement circa 1970, Maker L/12 - Silver (800/1000) and iron. A Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross 1939 as replacement / collector's production procurement, manufactured circa 1970 in 800 silver. The obverse displays the characteristic Iron Cross with raised silver frame and beaded edge decoration, the swastika in the centre and the date ”1939” in the lower arm. The reverse with smooth surface, the date ”1813” in the lower arm and the hallmarks ”800” and maker's code ”L/12” at the upper arm. Large suspension ring with original hook clasp, good condition, 50 x 50 mm. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was the third grade of the Iron Cross during the Second World War and was worn as a neck order on a black-white-red ribbon. The hallmark ”L/12” is attributed to the Berlin manufacturer C. E. Juncker, one of the principal producers of the Knight's Cross. The present replacement procurement from circa 1970 was crafted in the same artisanal tradition and served as a substitute for lost or damaged original pieces. Ein Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuzes 1939 als Ersatzbeschaffung / Sammleranfertigung, gefertigt um 1970 in 800er Silber. Die Vorderseite zeigt das typische Eiserne Kreuz mit erhabenem Silberrahmen und Perlrandverzierung, im Zentrum das Hakenkreuz und im unteren Arm die Jahreszahl „1939”. Die Rückseite mit glatter Oberfläche, der Jahreszahl „1813” im unteren Arm und der Punzierung „800” sowie dem Herstellercode „L/12” am oberen Kreuzarm. Großer Trageöse mit originalem Durchzughaken, guter Zustand, 50 x 50 mm. Das Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuzes war die dritte Stufe des Eisernen Kreuzes im Zweiten Weltkrieg und wurde als Halsorden an einem schwarz-weiß-roten Band getragen. Die Punzierung „L/12” wird dem Berliner Hersteller C. E. Juncker zugeordnet, einem der Hauptproduzenten des Ritterkreuzes. Die vorliegende Ersatzbeschaffung aus der Zeit um 1970 wurde in der gleichen handwerklichen Tradition gefertigt und diente als Ersatz für verlorene oder beschädigte Originalstücke.
