Wehrmacht Gas Mask Spectacles in Case with Medical Supplies, dated 1941 - Metal, glass, textile, rubber. Group of Wehrmacht medical equipment: 1) Gas mask spectacles (Maskenbrille) with round corrective lenses and elastic headband, in field-grey tin case inscribed ”Masken-Brille” with enclosed instruction sheet. 2) ”Reform” arterial tourniquet in original packaging. 3) Field dressing by Lohmann K.-G., Fahr/Rh., dated 1941. 4) Two field dressings, dated 1941, marked ”steam sterilised at 120°”. 5) Additional medical material by Kipping GmbH, Dresden. Well-preserved, complete medical group. Case 13×4.5×1.7 cm. The gas mask spectacles were introduced by the Wehrmacht in 1934, enabling spectacle wearers to use their gas masks. Instead of conventional temples, they feature an elastic headband that fits beneath the gas mask hood. The accompanying field dressings by the firm of Lohmann in Fahr am Rhein are dated 1941 and steam-sterilised. Complete medical groups of this type are rarely found intact. Konvolut aus Wehrmacht-Sanitätsausrüstung: 1) Maskenbrille (Gasmaskenbrille) mit runden Korrektionsgläsern und Elastikschleife, im feldgrauen Blechetui mit Aufschrift „Masken-Brille” und beiliegender Gebrauchsanweisung. 2) „Reform”-Arterien-Abbinder in Originalverpackung. 3) Verbandpäckchen der Firma Lohmann K.-G., Fahr/Rh., datiert 1941. 4) Zwei Verbandpäckchen, datiert 1941, bezeichnet „im Dampf (120°) entkeimt”. 5) Weiteres Sanitätsmaterial der Firma Kipping GmbH, Dresden. Gut erhaltenes, vollständiges Sanitätskonvolut. Etui 13×4,5×1,7 cm. Die Maskenbrille wurde ab 1934 bei der Wehrmacht eingeführt und ermöglichte Brillenträgern das Tragen der Gasmaske. Anstelle konventioneller Bügel besitzt sie eine Elastikschleife, die unter der Gasmaskenhaube Platz findet. Die beiliegenden Verbandpäckchen der Firma Lohmann in Fahr am Rhein sind auf 1941 datiert und dampfsterilisiert. Vollständige Sanitätskonvolute dieser Art sind selten erhalten.
