German Empire Medal Bar Iron Cross Hindenburg Cross & Medal Gymnastics Festival 1913 - Two historical originals from the era of the German Empire. 1) Two-piece medal bar (trapezoid shape) with backplate and pin system. Attached are the Prussian Iron Cross 2nd Class 1914 (here mounted on the reverse, showing the ”1813” side with oak leaves and FW monogram) and the Honor Cross of the World War 1914/1918 with Swords for Frontline Combatants (Hindenburg Cross). 2) Solid commemorative plaque / pinback badge for the ”12. deutsches Turnfest Leipzig 1913” (12th German Gymnastics Festival). The obverse shows a gymnast in front of the silhouette of the Monument to the Battle of the Nations as well as the jubilee dates ”1863 – 1913”. The reverse features a horizontal pin assembly and the manufacturer's engraving ”Entwurf v. Hans Zeissig Leipzig und Ausgef. v. Wilhelm Helbing Leipzig”. The Leipzig Gymnastics Festival of 1913 was one of the largest of its kind, marking the 100th anniversary of the Battle of the Nations and the 50th anniversary of the Gymnastics Festival of 1863. German Description Deutsches Reich Ordensspange Eisernes Kreuz Hindenburgkreuz & Medaille Turnfest 1913 Zwei historische Originale aus der Zeit des Deutschen Reiches. 1) Zweiteilige Ordensspange (Trapezform) mit Rückplatte und Nadelsystem. Daran befinden sich das Preußische Eiserne Kreuz 2. Klasse 1914 (hier rückseitig montiert, zeigt die Seite „1813“ mit Eichenlaub und FW-Monogramm) sowie das Ehrenkreuz des Weltkrieges 1914/1918 mit Schwertern für Frontkämpfer (Hindenburgkreuz). 2) Massive Erinnerungsplakette / Ansteckabzeichen zum „12. deutschen Turnfest Leipzig 1913“. Die Schauseite zeigt einen Turner vor der Silhouette des Völkerschlachtdenkmals sowie die Jubiläumsdaten „1863 – 1913“. Rückseitig befindet sich eine waagerechte Broschierung und die Herstellergravur „Entwurf v. Hans Zeissig Leipzig und Ausgef. v. Wilhelm Helbing Leipzig“.
