Edmund Dubarren (English, fl. 1880s), The White Cliffs of Dover, Watercolor on Paper, 1887 - This 19th-century watercolor on paper by English artist Edmund Dubarren is titled The White Cliffs of Dover. The coastal scene depicts figures, horses, and a cart on a beach alongside small sailing vessels in the surf, set against a backdrop of red-toned cliffs. The work is signed and dated 1887 by the artist in the lower left corner. It is mounted within a light linen-covered mat and housed in an ornate, gilded gesso-on-wood frame.
