The central scene depicts Princess Wencheng and her attendants in courtly attire, rendered with fine line work. A calligraphic inscription at the upper right identifies the subject as Princess Wencheng, accompanied by a red artist seal. The composition and figure style are in the manner of the Eighty-Seven Immortals, a work traditionally attributed to the Tang dynasty artist Wu Daozi. The embroidery is mounted within a patterned gold-tone silk mat and housed in a dark-lacquered wood frame featuring decorative brass-tone hangers.
