Medals, hallmark. - A perfectly preserved small samovar of the ”vase” shape with an original tray, made at the Vorontsov factory in Tula — one of the leading samovar manufacturers of the Russian Empire of the late 19th – early 20th centuries. The ”vase” shape is considered one of the most harmonious and elegant in the line of Tula samovars. The body of the samovar is made of polished brass, which gives the item a festive shine, and is complemented by a conical lid with a figured crown. Medal imprints and the Vorontsov factory brand are stamped on the body, confirming the authenticity and prestige of the product. The Vorontsov factory in Tula was known for its high quality casting, variety of shapes and technological perfection. Production was actively developing in the last quarter of the 19th century, participating in exhibitions and receiving medals, which is reflected on the bodies of the samovars. Such samovars were in demand in wealthy houses and also served as gifts, including awards. Excellent preservation of brass: polished surface with uniform shine. Medals and stamps are legible, without losses. Traces of time corresponding to age, on the back wall there are traces, presumably received during transportation. The samovar has undergone professional restoration, cleaned inside and covered with food tin. A pipe of modern manufacture is included as a gift.
