Kudryavtsev Evgeny Alexandrovich (John Kudryavtsev) (1955-2016). Haystack. 1976. In 1975 he graduated from the Sverdlovsk Art School, in 1973-1975 he interned at the private studio of Boris Vitomsky. Since 1982 he lived in Vladivostok. He worked as a production designer on Primorsky television, then at the People's Theater of Musical Comedy. During the Soviet period, he published political cartoons and portraits in the regional newspaper ”Krasnoye Znamya”. John's first solo exhibition was held in 1999 at the Artetage gallery. Kudryavtsev's works are stored in the Primorsky State Art Gallery, the Primorsky State United Museum named after V.K. Arsenyeva, in the Artetage Museum of Contemporary Art, the Arka Gallery, and private collections in Russia, the USA, Australia, Japan, and Germany.
