Fyodorov Viktor Avramovich (1937-2011). Morning dreams. 1970s. Paper, gouache. 21 x 60.5 - Fyodorov Viktor Avramovich (1937-2011) - was born in the village of Shmakovka, Primorsky Krai. His parents were from the Old Believer community, which had lived in Austria since the 17th century. At the beginning of the 20th century, they returned to Russia, to the Far East. He graduated from the Vladivostok Art School. In 1958-1961 he studied at the V. Surikov Art School in Moscow. Having returned to Vladivostok, from spring to late autumn he lives and works on the islands of Peter the Great Bay. In 1971, he chooses Bolshoy Pelis Island as his main residence. Thanks to the artist's participation, in the late 1970s the island became part of the created Far Eastern State Marine Reserve. The artist chose the creative, life-giving principle of Nature as the main theme of his work, the instruments of which he thought were the Sea and the Woman. Therefore, most of his works are devoted to the dialogue in various forms and situations of these two fundamental principles for the artist's worldview. Hence the choice of the location of the creative workshop - an uninhabited island, where Viktor Fyodorov spent 6-7 months annually, for 35 years.
