Ekaterina Vladimirovna Arkhipova (born 1967, Alexandria, Egypt) is a Russian painter and graphic artist, known for her work in portraiture, landscape, and still life. She has been a member of the Union of Artists of Russia since 2000. Arkhipova graduated from the I. Shadr Sverdlovsk Art College (now Yekaterinburg Art College), where she received a classical artistic education that became the foundation of her diverse creative practice. Over the course of her career, she has established herself as a versatile artist, working across a range of genres while maintaining a distinctive sensitivity to colour, atmosphere, and the emotional character of her subjects. Her works are represented in the collections of the Primorye State Art Gallery, the Nakhodka Museum and Exhibition Centre, the ARTETAGE Museum of Contemporary Art, and in private collections in Russia, the United States, Canada, and Japan. Arkhipova has participated extensively in exhibition activities, including fifteen solo exhibitions, six international exhibitions, and more than one hundred group exhibitions, reflecting her significant contribution to contemporary Russian art. In Lighthouses. Cape Povorotny, the artist turns to one of the emblematic maritime landmarks of the Russian Far East. Executed in oil pastel on black paper, the work combines graphic precision with atmospheric depth, evoking the poetic relationship between the coastline, the sea, and the guiding presence of the lighthouse.
