Ekaterina Vladimirovna Arkhipova (born 1967, Alexandria, Egypt) is a Russian painter and graphic artist, renowned for her work in portraiture, landscape painting, and still life. She has been a member of the Union of Artists of Russia since 2000. Arkhipova graduated from the I. Shadr Sverdlovsk Art College (now Yekaterinburg Art College), where she received a classical artistic education that has informed her diverse and accomplished practice. Her works are held in the collections of the Primorye State Art Gallery, the Nakhodka Museum and Exhibition Centre, the ARTETAGE Museum of Contemporary Art, and in private collections in Russia, the United States, Canada, and Japan. Throughout her career, Arkhipova has participated in an extensive range of exhibitions, including fifteen solo exhibitions, six international exhibitions, and more than one hundred group exhibitions. The artist is particularly admired for her ability to capture the atmosphere and emotional character of a landscape through a refined interplay of colour, light, and graphic structure. Her works frequently draw inspiration from the coastal scenery of the Russian Far East, where natural beauty and maritime history converge. In Lighthouses. Cape Tokarev, Arkhipova depicts one of Vladivostok’s most recognizable maritime landmarks.
